Enjoy a spot of shopping in the Welsh capital. The most interesting shops can be found in the Victorian arcades, where you’ll find the best independent shops and cafes. There are also the big names, including the largest John Lewis outside London.
If you’d rather do something different, why not visit the castle? Spanning 2000 years of history, from the Romans to the present day. The neo-gothic William Burges interiors from 1865 are a must-see on any visit to Cardiff.
There is also a special exhibition of some of the Queen’s collection of Leonard da Vinci drawings at the National Museum. This exhibition is only being held until May, when the drawings will return to London, so see them while you can.
